Upcoming Leadership Training Opportunities

Boundaries in Leadership - Brenda Cochran
Did Jesus set boundaries in His ministry? Did his “no’s” mean no and his “yes’s” mean yes? How about you? Boundaries in Leadership class will address the importance of establishing healthy boundaries within your area of ministry. This class will also help identify common boundary myths within Christian leadership as well as equip you with the skills necessary to maintain healthy boundaries for yourself, family, work and ministry. Let’s explore these areas on Sunday, April 23rd at 9:45AM in room 521 with Brenda Cochran. To register, e-mail: DrLarry@pureheart.org

The Enemies We Face - Pastor Mace Ligon
Do Christians have natural enemies? Who are they? What do they do? How are they resisted and defeated? It is a powerful thing to have enemies working against you and dangerous to not be aware of those enemies. The enemies we face are not persons of flesh & blood but they are invisible spirit beings. Join Pastor Mace as we discuss things in this teaching that are not discerned by human senses. Sunday, April 23rd at 11:30AM in room 103. To register, e-mail: DrLarry@pureheart.org

Women's Retreat: April 28th – 30th. Cost and location will be posted later. For more information, contact Julie Gillespie @ jules@cox.net.

Maximum Impact Simulcast: The purpose of this seminar is to reach out to business leaders in our community who may not have a relationship with Christ and invite them to an event where they can experience valuable leadership training. What makes this event unique is that the simulcast is held in churches across the country. As these leaders step onto the church campus, maybe for the first time, we can begin to build a relationship with them and a positive “church” experience, which may lead to an opportunity to share Christ.

The Simulcast will take place on May 5th, 2006 right here at Pure Heart and will feature speakers such as John Maxwell, Dave Ramsey, Tim Sanders, Patrick Lencioni, Kathy Ireland, Mark Sanborn, J.C. Watts, Peyton and Archie Manning.

How can you help? We want to engage the business leaders within our church to join us and help plan and invite their colleagues to this event. If you are interested in helping us plan, promote or sponsor this event please contact: Chris at cerwin@pureheart.org.

Being Ligaments (Lessons from Ephesians): Dr. Larry Fulton
In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, leaders are referred to as ligaments that hold the body together, that join and knit the body together. So, how do we act as ligaments?
How do we encourage and insure stability and flexibility in the body?
How do we keep the body together AND moving together, growing together, being built up and strengthening together? Join Dr. Larry as we uncover some lessons from Ephesians. Sunday, May 7th at 9:45AM in room 521. To register, e-mail: DrLarry@pureheart.org

21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Pastor Todd Bearce
Need to do a better job in leadership? Feel like you can barely lead the family dog? Leadership is not just a gift it can be learned. Join us as we learn the 21 laws that leaders cannot and should never ignore. These Leadership laws have been gathered from some of the top leaders in this country. Five Dysfunctions of a Team: Pastor Dan Steffen
Question: What has 5 heads, 10 legs, an absence of trust, a fear of conflict, a lack of commitment, an absence of accountability, an inattention to results – and unfulfilled results? Answer: a dysfunctional team. Join Pastor Dan on Thursday, May 11th at 7PM in room 102 to discuss these symptoms, their results and ways to overcome them. From Patrick Lencioni’s book “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.” To register, e-mail: DrLarry@pureheart.org

Getting Through the Tough Stuff: Lois Katzke
It's the tough stuff that tests the core of our beings. It will either
strengthen our deepest beliefs or unravel the fabric of our faith.
Everything depends on our response. Because God remains "the same yesterday, today, and forever," there is nothing He can't handle through you. Lois Katzke will explore how we can “keep on keeping on” while facing the “tough stuff” Thursday, May 11th at 7PM in room 103. To register, e-mail: DrLarry@pureheart.org
